Mark your calendar for the April 8th, 2024 Eclipse in the ozarks
To experience the total darkness of the eclipse, viewers must be in the narrow Total Eclipse Path, which will run through the eastern Ozarks in Missouri and Arkansas. Towns such as Cape Girardeau and Popular Bluff in Missouri, and Pocahontas and Hardy in Arkansas will experience over 4 minutes of total darkness in mid-day!

What and where are The Ozarks?
The Ozark Plateau is a geographical region prized for its ecological diversity and beautiful landscapes. The region is known for its rugged terrain, oak-hickory-pine forests and cedar glades, clear meandering rivers and streams, and Karst topography with springs, caves and sinkholes. So exactly where are the boundaries of The Ozarks? Along the edges, The Ozarks begin to blend into the surrounding regions, so it isn’t always clear. If a community in or near the Ozark Plateau self-identifies as being part of the Ozarks, we would agree!
The Total Eclipse Path in the above maps are approximate only. For more specific location information and exact time of the total eclipse visit the interactive map created by Xavier M. Jubier.
